• Question: Why do we get wisdom teeth

      We think wisdom teeth are a hang over from our ancestors, many of who had to chew hard nuts, leaves and other fibrous material. So they are a bit like a cow or elephants teeth for grinding down tough material.
      These days with the invention of fire and cooking we don’t really need them, and they tend to get in the way as much as being useful.
      If we continue to evolve, they are probably one of the things we’ll loose the ability to grow.
