It’s scary to think about a disease like Ebola, which has no known cure, but I think we are quite safe here in the UK. We have a great health system and lots of measures that can be put in place to protect us. We really just need to focus our efforts on helping people in West Africa to fight it, and hope that scientists will be able to find a vaccine or a cure sometime soon.

I think it has been over hyped in the media.
It is a dangerous diseases, but not as virulent as say measles or influenza.
It’s also confined to a fairly small area of he Earth so far, which is extremely bad for those experiencing it, but it hasn’t killed nearly as many people as say Malaria, Heart disease or Smoking.
I think the fear comes mostly because it is a relatively new disease and so people are wary about it.
That’s not to say it should be taken lightly, but it should be taken in perspective.
