• Question: what is the most interesting thing you have found out about the earth?

      I don’t study the Earth myself, I study galaxies other than our own 🙂 One of my favourite ‘Earth facts’ is that we have tectonic plates. Sections of the crust of the Earth float on molten rock. The continents all used to be in different places – in fact at one time they were all joined together in a Supercontinent called Pangea! If you look at South America and Africa, you can tell that they would fit together like a jigsaw.. they were once joined together.
