I’m planning to go observing again to the the William Hershel Telescope, in La Palma, in January. And then hopefully back to Chile for more observing, and then a holiday too! If you go all that way you have to have some time to look around too!
I only have a year left working in Cambridge, so I’m currently looking for new exciting jobs, staying in astronomy doing research, or if not then I quite fancy going into outreach. I really enjoy doing things like this!
Hi Holly 🙂
In January I’ll be going to Edinburgh for a conference, and then to the Atacama desert in Chile for 5 nights observing on the VLT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVCFc0ZiRt8). Other than that, just carrying on work on my PhD project – looking at the internal motions and star formation of very distant galaxies with a brand new instrument we have, called KMOS. That’s my day to day work but I think it’s quite exciting!
