Ebola is a terrible disease. While it is important to be vigilant and monitor travellers from affected countries, I think the media have contributed to a lot of hysteria about it. However, governments have very difficult decisions as to what precautions and lengths they go to, given the costs of such measures versus risk of an outbreak.
