For a long time, nobody knew whether there were planets around other stars. We guessed that, as there were planets in our solar system, there should be others like it. But it wasn’t until less than 20 years ago that we actually began to find other worlds. And it turns out that everywhere we look we find planets – so almost every star in our galaxy has a solar system like our own!
