      Energy can never be created, it can only be ‘moved’ or changed from one form to another. Heat is form of energy – infra-red radiation.

      Heat is often a way to generate energy in a different form. For instance we heat up water to make steam to turn turbines to make electricity. What we’re really doing is converting locked up chemical potential energy in to vibrational energy (heat), into kinetic energy (steam) into electrical energy.
