• Question: If you could estimate, how many galaxys are there in space?

      One of my colleagues did this very recently. The maths and the way he did it are a it complicated, because you have to work out how many galaxies you can see, and also how many you expect you can’t see because they are too small or too far away. Anyway, he came up with a figure of around
      2,000,000,000,000,000
      or about 2 trillion
