• Question: How many total flights have there been to the moon and how many have failed?

      Manned flights, Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17
      Apollo 8 and 10 both circled the moon, but didn’t land.
      Apollo 13 failed, but got back to Earth safely.

      Other than that there have been lots of lunar probes, probably too many to mention. Wikipedia has a list though

      Hey Ben, have you seen the movie Apollo 13, with Tom Hanks in? If you haven’t I’d really recommend it! The mission did fail, by which I mean it didn’t land on the moon, but in many ways it was a fantastic success. Some very major things went wrong but the astronauts and people at mission control came up with brilliant, creative solutions, and managed to get everyone home again safely.
