      It depends when you go.
      Mars and Earth orbit at different speeds, so sometimes Mars is relatively close, and some times it is the other side of the sun. So sometimes its 45 millions miles away, other times 230 million miles.
      So if you pick a time when they are closest, you can get there in somewhere around the 9 month period, with todays rockets.
      You could speed that up if you took more fuel, to both speed up and slow down again.
