      The speed of light is about 300 000 km/s, or about 190 000 miles per SECOND! Nothing can travel faster than this.

      Yes light is the cosmic speed limit. If it could go in circles, light would go round the earth 7 and 1/2 times in a second!
      Light is very fast, but for us astronomers very slow, we see things out there that happened a long while ago because of the speed of light.
