I came to Cambridge last year as a Post Doctoral researcher. Its a bit different to doing a a degree here. I really like Cambridge Uni. The department I’m in, the Institute of Astronomy, has about 150 Astronomers, which is incredible! There are so many world famous scientist here, it makes it a really exciting place to be.
I definitely feel valued by the research team I work in, its a very friendly and collaborative team. And the whole department is, we have coffee/tea breaks twice a day where everyone gets together to chat and share ideas.
I’ve also just become a member (or by-fellow as they call it) of Churchill Collage, which is fun, it a chance to meet other people in the University who studying different things which is v interesting.
