• Question: Have u got a crater of the moon

      If you mean one named after me, then no.

      I once asked Patrick Moore this question, and he said
      (and you have to do the voice)
      “No I don’t! To have a crater named after you you have to be dead!! And I’m not! I do have an asteroid named after me though!!”
      This was before he died obviously!

      Craters are the huge dents in the surface on the Moon, made by lots of objects impacting it since its formation. The Earth doesn’t have many craters because of a few reasons – the first is we have an atmosphere, which slows down objects colliding with us, meaning they usually burn up completely, or at least become smaller before they reach the surface. The second reason is that we have weather, and flowing water. These over time will destroy all evidence that something hit the Earth. The most visible craters are in deserts for this reason.
