If the food is in space station, and I’m anywhere near it, none of the food will last very long. Cheesecake and chocolate will be the first to go!

If the food is packed in a wrapper, and dried, then it can probably last almost for ever. We know of corn found in ancient egyptian pyramids that lasted for 4000 years or so. In space where there are no bacteria, and it is very cold, there would be nothing to make it go bad.
So it would only be radiation in space that might change it over time.

Omnomnom, yep not much food lasts for very long here in the flat I share with 3 boys either @Julian, haha.

Agreed, freeze-dried foods are best for space, because they last for a really long time and don’t take up very much space if the water has been taken out. Have you ever tried space ice cream? I can’t imagine other space food tastes so good though…

Will you be in the live chat tomorrow Megan?
