Discovering planets is a massive team effort – dozens of people work on each new planet doing different tasks. So I have contributed to a handful (maybe around 5) new discoveries. These include with the WASP telescopes (Wide Angle Search for Planets) and the Kepler satellite. Both of these missions look for the tiny dip in light when a planet passes in front of it’s star, blocking out some of it’s light.
